COUNCILMAN RANDY WHITE BIO

DISTRICT 12

Randy White was born in Jacksonville, Florida and is a westside native who loves his

community. He attended Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Reynolds Lane Elementary

School, Joseph Stillwell Junior High School, and graduated from Paxon Senior High School

in 1972. He has been married to his wife, Julie, since 1978. They have two daughters,

Kristy and Misty, two successful son-in-law‘s, and five grandchildren. Randy and Julie

attend Rise Church on the westside of Jacksonville.

 

Randy enjoyed a 32 year career with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and

retired in 2011 as the Deputy Director Assistant Fire Chief. He served as president of the

Jacksonville Association of Firefighters from 2002-2003. Throughout his career he was a

member of the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters, International Association of

Firefighters, International Association of Fire Chiefs, and Florida Fire Chiefs Association. He

is currently an active member of the Retired Jacksonville Association of Firefighters,

Riverside Rotary Club, Wesconnett Masonic Lodge, and the Morocco Shrine.

 

Randy has served the citizens of District 12 with a focus on public safety, including both law

enforcement and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, to give the men and

woman of those agencies the tools they need to do their jobs successfully. He continues to

focus on the growth of around Cecil Airport/Spaceport and Cecil Commerce Canter which

will bring more jobs, restaurants, and hotels to the area. He listens to the people and

continue to bring fresh ideas, energy, and enthusiasm for the citizens of this district. He is

motivated by a genuine concern for the people appreciates the trust and responsibility of

representing the needs of the community on the Westside.
