Mr. Grant was appointed by Mayor Donna Deagan in September 2023.
He has served with the Government in various capacities such as the Assistant Director of Special Programs at the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Government Contracting Specialist with the Procurement Technical Assistance Center all at UNF, and is an Adjunct Professor at FSCJ, TBC, and UNF.
Over the past 25 years, Gregory has managed retail locations, corporate operations, and owned several businesses. He began entrepreneurship in Jacksonville, Florida at an early age, where he worked in his family business as an Independent Tile Contractor from 1989 to 1996. He pursued new knowledge and skills in multiple industries which prompted him to join the United States Army in 1996. After years of active military service and reserve duty in leadership
