About the event
Assistant Chief Redgate is a native of Jacksonville, attending primary and secondary school in the Duval and Clay County school systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the Pennsylvania State University. Serving with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office since 2006, he is currently assigned as the Commander for Patrol District 4. Assistant Chief Redgate has experience in many areas within the Sheriff’s Office. He spent his Patrolman career on the westside of Jacksonville and trained many new recruits. Since then, he has gained supervisory and command experience with several units to include Street Level Narcotics, Major Case Narcotics, Vice, Overdose Death Investigations, Special Projects, Body Camera Unit, and SWAT. He has received numerous commendations for his work and command successes.
